Strategic advisory practice operating at the intersection of governance expertise, institutional capital, and market access.
BDHD Group is a strategic advisory and investment practice based in the Middle East. We work with growth-stage businesses and institutional ventures across healthcare, education, and real estate - providing the governance architecture, strategic counsel, and market access that accelerate scale and de-risk investment.
Our work sits at the intersection of government, regulation, and commercial development. We bring a track record of leading large-scale organisations, shaping government policy, and navigating regulatory frameworks across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. Our approach is hands-on and relationship-driven. Advisory without accountability is commentary. We take a different view.
Board-level counsel for companies scaling through acquisition, entering regulated markets, or positioning for exit. We bring institutional relationships and a strategic lens shaped by 15 years navigating government, policy, and commercial development at the most senior levels.
Working capital deployment and co-investment across healthcare, education, and real estate. We focus where governance credibility and market access create compounding value — particularly in sectors backed by clear government demand signals.
Designing and implementing board structures, governance frameworks, and institutional-grade operating models. This is not compliance box-ticking. It is the architecture that gives investors confidence and drives exit multiples.
BDHD Group is led by Phil Broadhead, who brings 15 years of senior leadership spanning UK government, public institutions, and commercial enterprise. As the UK's national leader for local and regional government, he worked hand in hand with British Prime Ministers, attended Cabinet, and represented the sector across Whitehall and Westminster on national policy. As Leader of a major British city, he held direct responsibility for a combined budget approaching £1 billion and a workforce of over 5,000.
Beyond government, he founded and chaired one of the UK's largest urban regeneration companies, served on the Conservative Party Board, and has worked directly with Cabinet ministers on national reform programmes spanning healthcare, education, and housing. His government relations and policy expertise now extends across Europe and the Middle East, where BDHD Group is actively engaged in institutional development and regulatory strategy.
Active sectors include healthcare staffing and workforce solutions, higher education and institutional development, and property investment and urban regeneration - with a particular focus on markets where government policy and private capital intersect.
BDHD Group is currently engaged across healthcare sector consolidation in the UK and higher education infrastructure development in the Gulf.
